Since its founding in 2014, the graduate school has nurtured numerous students and is now celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2024. As the founding director, Mr. Rongping Wu, said, the Disaster Prevention Institute, which was not well regarded at the beginning, is still standing strong in its 10th year, and continues to promote students and juniors at the University of Police Science and Technology.Over the past 10 years, the research of alumni and students has contributed to the disaster prevention and rescue academic community, and all of them have continued to cultivate their own work in the firefighting and disaster prevention sectors.

On September 13, 113, the Disaster Prevention Science Forum and Alumni Returning to the Mother's House was held, inviting Professor Lin Wen-yuan of the Department of Urban Planning and Disaster Prevention of Ming Chuan University to talk about land planning, Mr. Tsai Cheng-chung, an outstanding disaster prevention officer of the Sanshia District of New Taipei City, to talk about community disaster prevention, Dr. Ruiyi Ho of the National Center of Disaster Prevention and Rescue Science and Technology, to talk about disaster prevention science and technology, and Dr. Chieh-Hao Hu, Director of the Resource Center for Native Ethnic Students at I-Shou University to talk about social and humanities, and inviting all graduate students to come back to the university. Graduate students of all classes were also invited to return to the school to exchange ideas and learn new knowledge.

Watching the alumni gather together to chat and update their recent situation, talking about the hard time of doing research and writing thesis at the beginning of the night, and the joy of accomplishment after completing the thesis, and also chatting about the current development in various fields, the memories of the time of their studies are vivid in front of their eyes, and they are looking forward to returning here to see you all again in the next 20 years and 50 years!
