1.Evaluation of Emergency Disaster Response Plan for Elderly Welfare Facilities
Written by Lie-Jyun Jhang, Jing-Chein Lu, and Yu-Chun Huang. The article primarily discusses the need for elderly welfare facilities to comply with fire management regulations and to develop and implement emergency disaster response plans that match their characteristics. The study suggests improving the weak parts in facilities' response plans to enhance disaster prevention capabilities and ensure the safety of employees and residents.
2. Evaluate Fault Events of the Long Tunnel Electromechanical System by a Combination of FTA and FMEA
Written by Bao-yuan Chen and Wen-Chin Wang. The main thrust of this paper is the risk assessment and management of the electromechanical systems in the Caopu Senyong Tunnel by integrating Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) methods, successfully identifying and reducing the risk of faults. Results showed that the implementation of risk control measures significantly reduced the overall risk level of the system, effectively preventing potential losses.
3.Negative Influence of War Disasters on Firefighting Operations: A Case Study of the Russia-Ukraine War
Written by Kuan-Yu Chao. This article upholds that the primary principle of firefighting operation is to ensure personal safety and assesses the risks of the disaster relief environment before embarking on rescue missions. The study, analyzing the firefighting rescue operation during the Russia-Ukraine war, finds that war presents numerous challenges to rescue missions, such as a large number of casualties, difficulty in assessing the risks of the rescue environment, and multiple hazards faced during disaster emergency response.
4. The Study on the Social Network Analysis of Toxic Chemical Substance Disaster
Written by Chia-Yuan Chi, Zong-Ping Wu, and Nian-Jhen Wu. This study utilizes the TERIA to set up the impact analysis toward a chemical factory emergency response in Taichung City. It highlights a network relationship formed among the fire department, environmental protection bureau, and the accident site, revealing gaps in communication and professional consultation. The study recommends that in the face of potential toxic disaster risks in industrial zones, firefighting agencies need to improve their response skills and knowledge.
