Our research areas are diverse, including urban disaster prevention and regulations, emergency management and disaster command systems, evacuation and hazard assessment, disaster prevention education and community disaster prevention, vulnerability and recovery, and environmental change and disaster management. The curriculum is based on the core knowledge of disaster management, with four categories of courses: Disaster Analysis and Information Communication, Disaster Response and Preparation, Disaster Planning and Management, and Methodology to linking Disaster Research Theory and Disaster Prevention Practice. In the short term, the Institute will cooperate with domestic and foreign disaster prevention and relief agencies, relevant departments and research centers of universities to conduct projects on disaster prevention issues and policy consultation. In the long term, we intend to establish academic exchange agreements and mutual recognition of credits and degrees for students.
