On February 27, 114, Dr. Lee was invited to give a lecture on “Key Issues and Research Methods of Ecosystem Services Concepts in the Field of Self-Preparedness”. Dr. Lee extended the concept of disaster preparedness we are more familiar with to ecosystem services, and explained the terminology such as Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), Eco-DRR, and Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) with examples to help us understand more about how human activities can achieve harmony with nature under climate change. Dr. Lee also shared about PES and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which is the responsibility of corporations to give back to the society as they have been provided the conditions by the society for their business to flourish, and to disclose it in the CSR Report to provide investors with comprehensive, open and transparent information.
